Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They help a site remember things between visits, like your cookie preferences, or understand roughly how many people read a particular guide. This page explains, without legal jargon, how Yavida uses them.
A cookie is a small piece of data saved by your browser when you visit a website. It can't run programs or carry viruses, and on its own it doesn't identify you by name. Some cookies are essential for a site to function, others are optional and depend on your consent.
We use cookies to keep the website working correctly, remember your cookie preferences so we don't ask you every visit, and, only with your consent, to understand which guides get read and whether our pages are easy to use. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell data to third parties.
Necessary cookies keep core site functions working, such as remembering that you've already seen the cookie banner. These are always active and don't require consent under Czech law, since the site cannot function properly without them.
Analytics cookies help us understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how, so we can improve clarity where guides are confusing. These only run if you switch them on in the cookie banner.
Preference cookies remember small choices you make while browsing, such as whether you've already dismissed a particular notice. These also require your consent.
When you first visit, a banner at the bottom of the screen lets you accept all cookies, reject everything beyond necessary ones, or choose categories individually. Your choice is stored in a cookie named yi_consent for up to one hundred eighty days. You can change your preference at any time by clearing that cookie in your browser settings and reloading the page, which brings the banner back.
Our contact page embeds a Google Maps view to show our approximate location near Most. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads, governed by Google's own cookie and privacy practices rather than ours. We don't control those cookies directly.
Beyond our banner, most browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely through their settings menu. Doing so may affect how smoothly some websites, including parts of ours, function.
